What is Public Health?
The CDC Foundation defines public health as "the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities". The concept of public health has been active for quite some time, with organizations dedicated to public health aiding directly in stopping the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, the 2014 West Africa Ebola outbreak, and many others. Most recently public health organizations have spent their time combating the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that still affects us to this day.
