Overview

The Johnson & Wales University Charlotte Campus Library invites students, faculty and staff to participate in the Art is... Digital Photography Photo Contest, inspired by the Community Read 2025 Theme "Art is..."

The Community Read novels are From Twinkle with Love by Sandhya Menon about aspiring filmmaker and wallflower entering a film festival with a fellow film geek and learning lessons about love along the way, and Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li about a Harvard Senior planning an impossible heist to repatriate 5 priceless Chinese looted from Beijing centuries prior.

Both novels celebrate the personal and cultural virtues of Art, so we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of the most accessible forms of Art to create. Feel free to check out the novels in the JWU Library for inspiration!

For more information, check out our Community Read libguide!
