Meet your Librarians: Donte' Perry

Donte' Perry is a reference librarian and has worked at Johnson & Wales University since October 2021. 

Below is my current schedule for this year, and my hours are limited and subject to change due to me being a part-timer. I am here to assist and provide service. So my schedule is flexible if you need to meet outside my provided hours.

Monday - 6 pm to 10 pm

Tuesday- 6 pm to 10 pm

Wednesday - 8 am to 12 pm

Thursday - 8 am to 4 pm

Intrigued about what I do as the JWU Charlotte Librarian? The following are some of what fill my days.

• Reference - I can help you with all your research needs
• Research help - I can meet with you for an individualized research session if you need it. Just contact me, and we'll set it up.
• Instruction - I teach most (though not all) library instruction sessions, so you'll probably see me at some point.
• Check Out - Need to check out or return a book, check on a Reserve book or pay a fine? I can help you with that too!
• External Resources Management - JWU Charlotte Library has partnered with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library to bring you access to additional resources to aid in your studies and recreational time. Such services include Hoopla, Libby, RBdigital, and more! Let me know if you are having access trouble!
• Web Services - Wanting to see new features on the JWU Charlotte Library website, we are updating the library website to better suit our students. Let me know if you are interested in testing the new features!

Bachelor's Degree: I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History from Johnson C. Smith University, in Charlotte, NC, where I minored in American, Military, and World History.

1st Master's Degree: I completed my Master of Information Science focusing on Health Informatics and Strategic Information Management in 2021 from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.

2nd Master's Degree: I am studying for my Master of Library Science, focusing on Archive and Record Management from the North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, with the anticipated graduation date of Fall 2023.
