Search for items in the catalog

Step-by-step directions for searching the catalog:

  • Go to jwucharlotte.libguides.com undefined
  • In the top box, type in your search term or book title. 
    • Examples:
      • Pandemic
      • Public Health
      • COVID19 response
      • Vaccine development
  • On the left side of the screen, select the format of source you are looking for: Books, videos, ebooks, evideos, or articles (caution about articles, not all articles you have access to through the library databases will be available through the catalog)
    • Click the box next to the format 
  • Look at the options until you see one you are interested in
    • Click on the title
    • Book
      • write down the section of the library and the call #
      • click the "cite" button to retrieve citation if desired
    • eBook
      • scroll until you see "check availability"
      • Once there, click "view ebook"
      • click the cite button to retrieve citation if desired
    • Video
      • write down section of the library and the call #
      • click the "cite" button to retrieve citation if desired
    • eVideo
      • scroll until you see "check availability
      • click "view now"
      • click the "cite" button to retrieve the citation if desired
